Mako Surgical has signed a 15,000-square-foot, long-term lease at the Design Center of the Americas Office Center in Dania Beach.
DCOTA Office Center is located at 1855 Griffin Road and consists of 250,000 square feet.
Mako was represented by Peter Sheridan, senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle in the deal. Cohen Brothers Realty was represented by Cushman and Wakefield’s John Criddle and Jon Blunk. Viktoria Telek, director of DCOTA Office Center and Cohen Brothers’ vice president of office leasing, Marc Horowitz, also represented Cohen Brothers.
Mako will be using the space for corporate meetings and as a training center. Cohen Brothers is based in New York and manages more than 12 million square feet nationwide.

Peter Messina, CCIM, Vice President, Commercial Brokerage, has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute of the National Association of REALTORS®. Messina is a member of the South Florida Chapter of CCIM.

Mr. Messina joined Brenner Real Estate Group in August of 2011 as Vice President, Commercial Brokerage with a focus on servicing and expanding the office and industrial brokerage and property management services of the firm in southwestern Broward County. Prior to joining Brenner Real Estate Group, Messina served as a Commercial and Investment Specialist for Total Real Estate Consultants, Inc., and also as Commercial Sales Associate for Keller Williams Properties.
Messina holds other real estate industry licenses and certifications including Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Certified Property Management Specialist (CPMS), and Certified Rental Investment Specialist (CRIS.) He is a member of the Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA), Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAGFL), Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and the Davie Economic Development Counsel.
