KRES Commercial Joins Forces With Global Real Estate Resources

KRES Commercial, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Keyes Company, is pleased to announce the merger with Global Real Estate Resources, LLC.

Global Real Estate Resources is a boutique commercial real estate brokerage founded by Meriel “Honey” Bryan, the firm’s President and CEO.

“We are extremely pleased Honey Bryan is joining our team as Director of Retail Properties giving us an immediate entree’ into the Retail Property Group.”, said John Geisen, Executive Vice President of KRES Commercial. “In addition to her familiarity with retail, Honey has been very involved in almost all aspects of commercial real estate, including office, industrial, land development, and investment sales.”

Bryan is a native of Palm Beach County with a lifelong career in commercial real estate and financing. She has served as a consultant and collaborated extensively with clients and land planning professionals to facilitate land use and zoning changes of land for the development of multi-family, retail and industrial projects.

Ms. Bryan is active in numerous professional organizations such as the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (NNCREW) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She currently serves on the Planning and Zoning Appeals Board for the City of Palm Beach Gardens  is also a board member of the Foundation for Living Arts.

Geisen & Burst Join Forces

The Keyes Company is announcing a merger with Burst Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., in order to form a new entity specializing in commercial real estate.

John Geisen, Executive Vice President, will direct the new company, KRES Commercial, a subsidiary of The Keyes Company.  Mr. Geisen was formerly associated with CB Richard Ellis and Codina / Flagler Real Estate Services. According to Mr. Geisen, “We feel the merger with Burst Commercial demonstrates our commitment to the commercial real estate market, and will help expand our presence in South Florida.”

Burst Commercial Real Estate Services was founded by Tom Burst in 1996, and has been a strong influence in the commercial real estate market ever since. Burst has been active in commercial real estate since 1986 when he first worked with Geisen at CBRE. According to Mr. Geisen, “It seems very natural that Tom and I would reunite after having worked together more than 20 years ago.” Burst, who will serve as Director of Properties at KRES Commercial, commented “I like the idea of putting the old team back together; it will be fun.”

John Geisen To Lead New Keyes Division

John Geisen has been tapped to lead a new commercial division for Keyes.

Geisen’s role as Executive Vice President of the new division will be focused on all operations of the division including business development, hiring, training, establishing standards, and enhancing commercial support throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

The new division is called Keyes Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc.

“We are honored to have an individual of John’s caliber heading up our new subsidiary,” said Mike Pappas, President and CEO of The Keyes Company. “We feel confident that John’s qualifications and expertise will bring Keyes’ commercial efforts to new heights and strengthen our position in the marketplace. Few if any individuals in the commercial real estate management and sales industry here in the South Florida market can compete with what John brings to the table.”

John has more than twenty years of commercial real estate management experience. He first joined CB Richard Ellis in 1979, known then as Coldwell Banker Real Estate, as an office broker in Cincinnati, and subsequently assumed the role of Senior Vice President/Senior Managing Director in 1995, overseeing all operations of CB’s Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade County offices.  He then served eight years with Codina/Flagler as President of Real Estate Services, overseeing brokerage and property management for the firm for the State of Florida.
