October 11, 2026/in News/by SFOBA STAFF

JLL announced that veteran office brokers Greg Martin and Justin Cope have joined the firm’s South Florida office brokerage team as Senior Managing Directors, along with Lisa Blumer as Senior Vice President. The established trio from Avison Young further strengthens JLL’s office agency leasing team across Broward and Palm Beach counties and reflects the firm’s continued investment in bolstering its brokerage team with deep local market knowledge and client relationships.

Martin, Cope and Blumer bring extensive experience advising institutional and private landlords throughout South Florida. Together, they have represented a diverse portfolio of office properties across Broward and Palm Beach counties, with experience spanning landlord representation, office leasing, tenant representation and building sales.

“South Florida is still one of the most active and competitive office markets in the country, especially across Broward and Palm Beach, where you’re seeing steady leasing activity and a real flight to quality,” said Dan McGowan, Executive Managing Director and South Florida Broker Lead at JLL. “Greg, Justin and Lisa have spent years in these markets, know the inventory inside and out, and just as importantly have built strong, lasting relationships with owners and tenants. Bringing in a team that already works so well together allows us to hit the ground running and continue delivering for our clients across the region.”

Martin brings 30 years of commercial real estate experience and has specialized in the leasing of Class A and B office properties throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. Prior to joining JLL, he was a founding partner of Avison Young’s Florida operation and helped grow the firm’s presence across the state. Earlier in his career, he held roles with Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE and Flagler Real Estate Services. Martin has been recognized as South Florida NAIOP Broker of the Year and previously served as president of NAIOP’s South Florida chapter. Martin graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business.

Since 2006, Cope has worked in South Florida commercial real estate specializing in landlord representation and the leasing of Class A office properties. Prior to joining JLL, he served as a Principal at Avison Young. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Leasing Representative with Duke Realty Corporation, where he was responsible for generating new leases and renewals across more than three million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties in South Florida. He also previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield. Cope graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics / Supply Chain Management and holds the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Designation (SIOR) designation.

Blumer specializes in agency office leasing and provides strategic real estate advisory services to institutional and private landlords across Broward and Palm Beach counties. She began her commercial real estate career in 2015 in Tampa before relocating to South Florida. Blumer holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and a Bachelor of Science in sociology from Florida State University.

JLL Arranges New 19,330 SF Office Lease In Broward County

September 27, 2026/in News, Done Deals/by SFOBA STAFF

JLL has arranged a new, 19,330-square-foot office lease on behalf of Brasfield & Gorrie at Weston Pointe I in Weston, located at 2400 N Commerce Parkway. Brasfield & Gorrie is a leading provider of general contracting, design-build and construction management services across a wide range of markets. The relocation allows the general contractor to continue growing its South Florida presence. Its other Florida offices are in Jacksonville and Orlando.

JLL Executive Vice President Ryan Levy represented Brasfield & Gorrie in the negotiations. Cushman & Wakefield’s Chase Kulp and Deanna Lobinsky represented the landlord.

“Brasfield & Gorrie required additional office space to accommodate their rapid growth, and Weston offered the strategic location and connectivity to give the team immediate access to job sites and ability to recruiting and retain top talent,” said Levy. “This transaction reflects the continued demand we’re seeing from established companies for well-located, high-quality office space that supports both their employees and their operations.”

Brasfield & Gorrie has maintained a presence in the South Florida market since the early 1980s, with work spanning a range of project types, including commercial, multifamily, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, and industrial. Its work includes Nicklaus Children’s Griffin Surgical Tower, U.S. Courthouse Fort Lauderdale, Carnival Cruise Line Corporate Headquarters Campus, Chick-fil-A Supply Fort Lauderdale Distribution Center and Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center – Mount Sinai, Miami Beach. The company’s relocation comes as businesses continue to evaluate their office needs and seek space that can support growth and provide convenient access to employees, clients and projects throughout the region.

Weston Pointe I is a four-story Class A office tower located within Weston’s commercial corridor, providing convenient access to major transportation routes and surrounding South Florida markets.

The transaction comes amid a South Florida office market that continues to show signs of stabilization. According to JLL’s latest office report for Broward County, office vacancy in the market held steady at 16.4% in the second quarter of 2026, while absorption was flat following a slower start to the year. At the same time, average direct asking rents increased 5.8% year-over-year to $49.84 per square foot, the report stated, with Class A asking rents reaching $52.49 per square foot.

Leasing activity surged to roughly 900,000 square feet while new deliveries saw rapid uptake, underscoring sustained demand for high-quality space, the report shows. Nearly 1.2 million square feet remains under construction, all concentrated in Downtown, yet robust tenant interest continues to support tightening fundamentals.

JLL announced the completion of several new leases, including relocations, extensions, expansions and renewals at Presidential Circle in Hollywood that drive total occupancy at the two-tower, Class A office complex to 88 percent.

JLL Executive Vice President Brady Titcomb represented the building’s ownership group, CDS Realty Investments, LLC.

Among the new additions to Presidential Cricle’s distinguished roster of office tenants are:

  • For more than 70 years, NPC Financial has been helping individuals, families, and businesses make well informed decisions regarding their finances. The South Florida-based financial planner, represented by JLL Executive Managing Director Steven Hurwitz, extended its lease for 2,963 square feet of space in the North Tower.

“As the property’s ownership, we remain committed to continuing to reinvest in enhancing the office building to provide a best-in-class experience on a consistent basis for all of the esteemed companies that are tenants in our property,” added Eric Levy, Vice President of CDS Realty Investments, LLC. “The recent leasing success and number of renewals executed by the JLL team underscore tenants’ commitment to having their business address at Presidential Circle.”

Centrally located directly on one of Hollywood’s most traveled boulevards, Presidential Circle offers convenient access to Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike. While the seven-story property features many on-site amenities including a café and banking center, additional restaurants and banking options are within walking distance including Jimmy Johns, Picadilly, Sub City, Wendy’s, Capones Italian, Il Posto, Sebastianos, and many more. Additional nearby retail options including shipping and office service stores include Target, CVS, Publix, Walmart, FedEx Office and UPS Store. The office market exhibited a somewhat sluggish start to the year, however, rents continued their upward trajectory settling at $46.88 per square foot full service, marking an impressive 17.3% increase year-over-year.
