Molly McDonough Joins Butters

Molly McDonough has joined Butters Realty & Management as a senior vice president.

McDonough comes to Butters with more than a decade of commercial real estate experience, having represented an office portfolio of 1.5 million square feet in South Florida and negotiating more than $100 million in transactions for these landlords.

McDonough also specializes in tenant representation and in 2010 she competed more than 165,000 square feet in leases, valued at $13.5 million.  As a tenant representative, she brokered one of the largest lease deals in Palm Beach County in recent years and was nominated for a NAIOP Deal of the Year.

McDonough was previously a vice president Flagler Real Estate Services. In her new position, McDonough will focus on building Butters’ tenant representation platform.

Based in Coconut Creek, Butters Realty & Management is a division of the Butters Group, a fully integrated development, construction, realty and management firm founded in 1990.

“Having essentially spent my career in real estate working for a renowned local developer, construction and brokerage firm, it was natural for me to look at the opportunities at another well- known South Florida developer that was looking to expand its presence in the third-party brokerage side in both landlord and tenant representation,” McDonough said.  “I will be concentrating solely on building Butters Group’s tenant representation practice and look forward to working with Malcolm Butters and the great team he is building.”

Butters Group President Malcolm Butters said the addition compliments the company’s strong third-party landlord services platform, which currently handles leasing and property management for several million square feet for a bevy of local, national and institutional owners.

“We are excited about Molly becoming part of the team and her hiring launches our tenant representation platform,” Butters said.

McDonough is well known in South Florida real estate circles and is an active leader in the South Florida chapter of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial office Properties) currently serving on the programming committee and as chair of the annual NAIOP charity Golf Tournament, which has raised more than a $100,000 for local charities. She also sits on the board of the Coral Springs Economic Development Foundation and is a graduate of Class 30 of the Leadership Broward program. McDonough mentors high school students with Women of Tomorrow.

 

 

 

Sunbeam Announces New Spec Building At Miramar POC

Sunbeam Development has announced plans to build MPC-28, an 80,000 square-foot spec distribution building in Phase 4A of the Miramar Park of Commerce.

Scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2013, MPC-28 will be 32-feet clear, 165 feet deep and have a 145-foot non-shared truck court. In addition, the building will be equipped with an ESFR fire sprinkler system, which is ideal for warehouses and distribution centers and offers more efficient protection than in-rack systems.

MPC-28 will be adjacent to MPC-27, an 87,540 square-foot spec distribution building with identical features that will open in the Park later this year and is 55 percent leased. MPC-27 and MPC-28 are the first spec buildings in the Park since 2007.

“There is a growing demand for this space, particularly from national tenants that require state-of-the-art facilities,” said Andrew Ansin, vice president of Sunbeam Development, developer of the Park. “Strong leasing interest in MPC-27 led us to move forward with announcing our plans for MPC-28.”

In June, Sunbeam Properties broke ground on MPC-27, a 87,540 square-foot spec distribution building, also located in Phase 4A of the park. The building was the first spec building in the Park since 2007 and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Bob Schneiderman To Head New CRE Office

Bob A. Schneiderman, SIOR has been appointed executive vice president at DTZ’s newly-opened office in Boca Raton, FL. Schneiderman brings more than 26 years of experience in all facets of commercial real estate, and will be responsible for building cooperation in the local CRE marketplace while expanding the DTZ business lines throughout southeast Florida.

Schneiderman spent the past 16 years with NAI/Merin Hunter Codman, Inc., specializing in corporate services and tenant representation. He has been involved in more than 2 million square feet of commercial leases valued at approximately $750 million. His client list includes Charles Schwab, G4S Secure Solutions, Comcast and Oasis Outsourcing.

DTZ, a UGL company, is a global property services firm supplying occupiers and investors with agency brokerage and integrated property and management services in addition to capital, investment and asset management and consultation. DTZ employs 47,000 people in 208 offices across 52 countries.

Marcus & Millichap Names New Sales Manager

Marcus & Millichap has named Matthew Kesterson as the new sales manager in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Kesterson, who joined Marcus & Millichap’s Fort Lauderdale office in 2000 as an intern, also helped to open its Melbourne office and eventually relocate it to Vero Beach.

He has served as a director in the firm’s National Multi Housing Group.

Keith Darby Launches Boutique Firm

Keith Darby recently announced the official launch of Rise Realty, a commercial and luxury residential real estate company serving all of South Florida.

Rise’s commercial division will provides a full spectrum of services throughout Florida and the U.S., including consulting, market evaluation, leasing and sales, transaction management, and acquisition and disposition.

Darby has been with ComReal Ft. Lauderdale since July, 2007, most recently serving as Corporate Services Advisor.  He will serve as CEO of Rise Realty.
